GOLD Coast wonderkid Matt Rowell has avoided surgery on his left knee injury.
GOLD Coast wonderkid Matt Rowell has avoided surgery on his left knee injury.
Scans last night confirmed Rowell had sustained a posterior cruciate ligament tear when he was tackled by Eagle Zac Langdon at Optus Stadium on Sunday.
Crucially, the teenager wont need to go under the knife.
Still, Rowell will be sidelined for several weeks and perhaps months, depending on how the knee settles.
