Matt Hancock has warned that the country is a long, long, long way from lockdown measures being eased amid stubbornly high infection rates.
The health secretary said in an interview on Sunday that the current lockdown rules were beginning to show signs of reducing coronavirus cases nationwide.
But he said the NHS remains under pressure and added that it is very important that we continue to follow the rules.
