Matt Burton has committed to honouring his Bulldogs contract amid sniping over his future from current club Penrith.
The Panthers are agitating for Burton to stay despite the young star having signed a three-year contract with Canterbury from next season.
Bulldogs coach Trent Barrett launched a robust defence of the signing on Saturday night after his team’s first win of the season and Burton confirmed his plans on Sunday.
