Mathew Thomas, accused of Port Augusta double fatal, pleads guilty to leaving scene of crash
A man who allegedly hit and killed a Port Augusta couple last year has pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of the crash.

Prosecutors allege Mathew John Thomas was driving home after attending a party when he hit Stephen Press, 50, and Naomi Braden, 44, at Port Augusta West in February 2020.
Thomas appeared in the Port Augusta District Court for arraignment this morning, where he pleaded not guilty to two counts of aggravated dangerous driving causing death, but guilty to charges of leaving an accident scene after causing death by careless driving.
