Man trapped after forklift ‘fell from truck’

Emergency services were called to the incident on a private property in Chuwar just after 11am.The man, aged in his 70s, was trapped by his torso underneath the roll cage of the forklift. He was reportedly conscious and breathing while the machinery trapped him. Firefighters arrived on the scene at 11.11am and used airbag equipment to free the man. As of 11.25am the man was being assessed by paramedics for chest and limb injuries. It is understood he is in a stable condition.
