The patient, 30, narrowly survived the ordeal that left him with multiple organ failure, diarrhoea and vomiting blood.
It happened after he brewed the magic mushrooms into tea then injected the liquid into his veins.
Days after the incident, the man would up at the emergency department, a study in the Journal of the Academy of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry revealed.
