A man in his 60s who returned to Tasmania after going to Melbourne for medical treatment has tested positive to coronavirus.
Tasmania has recorded its first coronavirus case in 20 days, a man who returned from Melbourne after going there for medical treatment.
The man in his 60s has been admitted to the North West Regional Hospital in Burnie, the state’s public health department confirmed on Tuesday.
He is the only active coronavirus case in Tasmania and just the second on the island in about three months.
