Man in custody after 26-hour siege in Brisbane’s south

Police say they have taken a man at the centre of an almost 26-hour siege in Brisbane’s south into custody “without incident”.

The man had been holed up inside a Sunnybank home with other people since Thursday morning, with police remaining tight-lipped about the details of the incident and what had led to the standoff.

In an update just before 12.30pm on Friday, police revoked an exclusion zone around the Dyson Street home after the man walked out of the home with officers.

“Police have taken a man into custody without incident, further details to follow,” police said in a statement.
