Man from PNG dies from COVID-19 in Queensland hospital

A man who contracted COVID-19 overseas has died in a Queensland hospital.
The 77-year-old man from Papua New Guinea died in Redcliffe Hospital on Monday.
Queensland Health has attributed his death to “complications due to COVID-19”.
The man was transported from PNG to Queensland on March 28 “as his condition was worsening”, the health authority said in a statement.
