Man escapes police custody on the way to the Warwick watch house

A man is on the run after allegedly headbutting a police officer while being escorted from a court to the watch house in Warwick, south-west of Brisbane.
Police said they believed Stanthorpe man Clayton Alvoen may have been picked up by a getaway car and extensive patrols failed to spot him.
The 28-year-old had been in the Warwick Court House yesterday on drug, assault and domestic violence charges and escaped custody about 2:30pm.
Police said all persons involved in the domestic violence matters have been warned that he is on the loose.
Searches last night and this morning at Mr Alvoen’s local haunts and interviews with his associates have failed to find him.
