Man dies from alleged one-punch attack outside Caboolture hotel

A man has died after an alleged one-punch altercation outside a Caboolture hotel, north of Brisbane, on Wednesday night.
Queensland police on Thursday morning charged a 29-year-old Caboolture man over the death of the 49-year-old Murrumba Downs man outside the Sundowner Hotel on Aerodrome Road.
Police allege the two men had an altercation at the hotel at about 10pm, when the 29-year-old allegedly punched the other man in the face.
The 49-year-old fell backwards, hitting his head on the pavement. Paramedics attended but the man died at the scene.
The 29-year-old was found by police at 11.40pm on Pasturage Road.
He was later charged with unlawful striking causing death and will appear at the Caboolture Magistrates Court Thursday.
