A man was rushed to hospital in a critical condition after a woman allegedly armed with a broken bottle struck him in the neck on a Gold Coast street overnight.
Police believe the victim and alleged attacker did not know each other prior to the alleged glassing.
The Southport victim was treated by specialist critical care and high acuity response paramedics on Tuesday night.
It will be alleged the 43-year-old man was walking along Scarborough Street in Southport about 6.45pm on Tuesday when he was attacked.
