Man charged with murder of Ballarat woman Kobie Parfitt

A man has been charged with murdering Ballarat woman Kobie Parfitt, who was last seen alive on April 28.
Police investigating Ms Parfitt’s disappearance last week found human remains in a mine shaft at Snake Valley, south-west of Ballarat, but they are yet to be formally identified.
Last night, with assistance from the Victoria Police’s Critical Incident Response Team, officers arrested a 31-year-old Wendouree man in Kinglake.
He’s been charged with one count of murder and will face the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court this afternoon.
