Man charged with murder after two men killed in double shooting
A man has been charged over the shooting deaths of two men at a unit block in Caboolture, north of Brisbane, after being arrested following a city-wide manhunt.
Police were called to the unit complex at Lower King Street shortly after 5pm on Saturday after multiple witnesses reported hearing gunshots.
Officers discovered two men, aged 23 and 37, in one of the units with multiple gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police initiated an urgent search for the gunman, and just after 7pm a 24-year-old man was arrested at a service station on Beenleigh Redland Bay Road at Cornubia.
It is alleged the Toyota Yaris he was driving was seen by witnesses leaving the scene of the Caboolture shooting.
