Man charged with murder after Bracken Ridge death
“At this time our thoughts are with the family of the deceased as it was a very traumatic incident for them particularly locating this person in their own home.”
Senior Sergeant Ziebarth said the accused was known to the victim and they lived in “close proximity” to one another.
“We’re still investigating motive,” he said.
“There are still some unanswered questions that we’re looking to get some further information on.
“We believe the offender hasn’t been to that residence before and has come to the victim’s home.”
Senior Sergeant Ziebarth said there were two active crime scenes, the victim’s and the accused’s homes, which were part of the forensic investigation.
He urged anyone with information to come forward.
