A man has been charged with manslaughter and serious assault after allegedly attacking his neighbour with a broomstick over a long-running dispute in a Gold Coast suburb on Wednesday.

Police on Wednesday said 60-year-old Bradley Ward became involved in a verbal dispute about 5.15am with his neighbour, a 48-year-old man, outside an address on Whiting Street, Labrador.
