Man charged over Sunnybank siege that ended peacefully, woman and 3yo child unharmed

Police have charged a 36-year-old man with 11 offences over a siege incident at Sunnybank on Brisbane’s southside that lasted about 26 hours.

- Police said they reached a peaceful resolution after communicating with the man via loudspeaker
Authorities said the armed man had been holed up inside the home with a woman and a three-year-old child who were known to him.
The siege ended about 12:30pm on Friday after the man surrendered without incident to police and was escorted from the area.
A woman and a young boy were also escorted from the house in Dyson Avenue.
