Man charged by New Zealand police after stepping in front of horses at Trentham race – 7NEWS.com.au
The shocking incident began when television cameras caught a punter walking on to the racecourse in front of sprinting horses.
A 24-year-old man has been charged and will face court this week after his arrest at a New Zealand racecourse on Saturday.
The racing community was left in shock when television cameras caught a punter walking on to the Trentham track and stop in front of horses sprinting at full pace.
As you can see in the video above, he narrowly avoided being run over and injured, if not killed, when a number of jockeys veered around him.
