Man arrested after allegedly shooting at police car during pursuit

An off-duty officer spotted the BMW allegedly driving dangerously along the Bruce Highway a short time later, with the driver making threats to injure an 18-year-old male passenger known to him, but later released without injury, while evading police.
He is alleged to have then shot at a police car about 8pm on Cottrill Road, before continuing “dangerously and at speed” towards Woodford under helicopter surveillance.
The man then headed towards Kilcoy, where a tyre deflation device was used, before the man turned onto Esk-Kilcoy Road.
He continued on to the Brisbane Valley Highway and was intercepted by police just north of Esk with assistance from specialist police and the dog squad.
