Man accused of murdering Gold Coast mum Kelly Wilkinson identified as Brian Johnston

A new charge has been levelled against a man accused of murdering his estranged wife, mother-of-three Kelly Wilkinson, who was found burned in a Gold Coast backyard.

Brian Earl Johnston, 34, of New Beith, has been charged with murder and breaching a domestic violence order after Wilkinson’s body was found on Tuesday morning.

Southport Magistrates Court heard on Wednesday he is also accused of breaching a bail condition, although no further details about the allegation were revealed.
