Man, 28, charged with alleged murder of member of Brisbane disability community

A Brisbane man found bludgeoned to death has been identified as a loved member of the intellectual disability community.
A 28-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Stephen Mowchanuk.
Mowchanuk, 39, was found with “significant blunt force trauma to the head” by his mother at a home in Bracken Ridge, Brisbane’s north, on Sunday afternoon.
Detective Senior Sergeant Martin Ziebarth says a large metal object was allegedly used to hit the victim’s head, causing the fatal injuries.
