A losing bet of $150,000 was dumped into the S-TAB tote pool for a non-descript race in Japan on Thursday, causing a crazy dividend for those who backed the winner of race seven at Urawa.
The bizarre wager was the single largest bet placed on a tote product anywhere across Australia yesterday, and potentially for some time.
Tote tracking data shows that the pool for the race swelled from $4,150 at 16:06:25 before jumping remarkably to $155,339 just 13 seconds later.
