One of the NRL’s best playmakers was going to be free to hit the open market on November 1, but the Roosters have stopped a rush for their five-eighth’s signature.

Keary, 28, is poised to win his first State of Origin jumper after being ruled out of the 2019 series with a heavy concussion – just days before Brad Fittler chose his NSW team for the opener.
He will miss the Roosters’ clash with the Tigers at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday due to a broken rib sustained in last week’s loss to the Storm.
