Low demand for renting expected to keep prices down

Inner-city rental prices are tipped to fall as ongoing travel restrictions stopping overseas students, workers and tourists from coming to Australia fuel a slump in demand for housing. An insight report from the Reserve Bank of Australia is forecasting rental price growth will remain weak through 2021, with tenants in Melbourne and Sydney likely to see the largest price falls.
