Lord mayor Schrinner rips into activists

“Good morning to everyone except these clowns who want to disrupt the CBD while it’s only just starting to recover from the economic impacts of COVID-19! #lockthemup,” he tweeted.
Police Inspector Geoff Acreman said the two activists, who were forcefully removed from the roof of their truck and taken to the Brisbane City Watchhouse, face a string of serious charges.
These include disobeying a police direction after they would not get down from the truck, several offences related to their lock-on device and traffic offences for blocking the road.
