With the speculation over the future of David Fifita now over, attention has turned to how exactly the Broncos were unable to retain one of the competition’s brightest young talents.
His decision to sign a $3.5 million deal with the Titans is in many ways a sign of the times, with Brisbane on track to miss their first finals series since 2013 as the club heads south.
The Gold Coast, on the other hand, appear to be heading in an exciting direction with Fifita joining an improving roster aiming to challenge for a top-eight berth next season.
