Living his best life: Fundraising hero Captain Tom’s wonderful 2020

British veteran Captain Tom Moore set out to raise £1000 ($A1775) for the National Health Service, by walking 100 laps of his garden with the aid of his walker.
The good Captain obliterated that target, raising more than £30 million. His countryfolk rallied around him, dubbing him a hero and a beacon of hope amid the coronavirus pandemic.
