The defending Premier League champions have reportedly agreed a deal for the Spanish midfielder with Bayern Munich; a fee of around 30 million ($A49m) enough to pry Thiago away, according to The Athletic.
Per The Athletic, personal terms should be straightforward, with the deal accelerating due to Bayerns desire to get a deal done before the start of the Bundesliga season.
