Live NRL: Soft Knights gifting lowly Tigers easy points as Pearce’s 300th turns sour – Fox Sports
Newcastle is celebrating the 300th NRL game of halfback Mitchell Pearce, but you wouldn’t know it from looking at how the side is playing at Hunter Stadium.
The Knights had six errors inside the opening 21 minutes and directly handed Wests Tigers two tries to trail 12-4 midway through the first half.
It was 8-12 to the Tigers at half time and they were first to score in the second half, too, when young forward Stefano Utoikamanu waltzed through some lazy Knights defence and it was 8-18.
A try to milestone man Pearce made it 14-18 withy 15 minutes left.
Round 3
Then Tyson Frizell was on the end of a break and scored to put the home side in front.
