Rugby Australia offered to host the British and Irish Lions series against the Springboks but northern hemisphere officials have rejected the proposal.
Australias offer to host this years British and Irish Lions series against South Africa has been rejected.
In a show of goodwill, Rugby Australia had extended an offer to host the Lions and Springboks teams in the likely scenario the famous series could not go ahead in South Africa due to COVID-19 reasons.
