‘Like rugby union signing Brad Fittler as a schoolboy’: Roosters poach Fijian prodigy – Fox Sports
The Roosters look to have signed ‘the next best thing’ coming out of Fiji, with teenage prodigy Vuate Karawalevu making the switch from rugby union.
The Daily Telegraph reported Karawalevu, who plays for the Kaiviti Silktails, is considered the best prospect in Fiji in either codes and the Roosters have secured the services of the talented fullback.
Karawalevu made the tough decision to switch to the 13 man code despite being named in Fijis Under 18s World Cup squad and the 19-year-old came with a ringing endorsement from Silktails boss Steve Driscoll.
