Lifesavers rescue cow that was swept onto beach during floods

Surf lifesavers have helped rescue a calf that was swept away in floods and washed up on a beach on the New South Wales Mid-North Coast.

Volunteer lifesaver Michael Cameron was making sure no-one entered the treacherous surf when he took a call about a calf needing to be rescued on Old Bar Beach.
“We got there and there was debris everywhere, and it’s this young calf in shallow water,” Mr Cameron told 7.30.
