Lifeguards revive surfer on Sunshine Coast’s Dicky Beach
Lifeguards pulled an unconscious male surfer, believed to be aged in his 60s, from the waves at Dicky Beach on the Sunshine Coast on Friday morning and revived him on the sand.
Paramedics also rushed to the scene and, together, they managed to save the man’s life.

A Surf Life Saving Queensland spokeswoman said the surfer was pulled from the water just before 8am by SLSQ lifeguards, who then performed CPR until paramedics arrived.
The man was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.
