South Australian baking icon Vilmos Vili Milisits has died, aged 72.
The legendary pie-maker died on Friday in Sydney after an unsuccessful lung transplant, The Advertiser reports.
His wife Rosemary confirmed the news, saying the family had been left totally devastated.
He was always a fighter and believed in quality and values above all, she said.
Vili arrived in Adelaide in 1956 after escaping Hungary as a refugee.
