Experts do not believe it will be easy to control the virus if schools remain open
The new strain of coronavirus has taken hold in a part of West Yorkshire, as Huddersfield is revealed to be the third worst-affected in the country.
Scientists believe that the new strain could be up to 70 percent more infectious and they have mapped the areas it is affecting.
The experts at the Covid-19 Genomics UK consortium (COG-UK) monitoring group have found that the new strain is spreading rapidly across Huddersfield.
