Big rise in Covid-19 infections in Birmingham, but no new deaths recorded in the Midlands according to latest figures
A further four coronavirus-related deaths have been recorded in English hospitals – but none in the Midlands.
Four people, who tested positive for the Covid-19, had died as of the latest daily figures released on Saturday, August 15.
The total of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England stood at 29,456 as the new stats were released.
Patients were said to be aged between 66 and 88 years old, according to NHS England.
