Laser device starts fire in Brisbane high school classroom

“This [fire] occurred during break time, when no students were in the location, and following the college assembly which all students attended,” the statement said.
“The Queensland fire department was called immediately and the fire alarms activated. All students and staff evacuated to the college grandstand. All students and staff were accounted for.
“We thank the fire and police services for their immediate and professional response. They have now given the all-clear for students and staff to return to class.
“All classes have resumed, with the exception of the design and technology classes, which have now been moved to alternative classrooms.”
