Lane Cove man charged with child abuse over major online paedophile network

A 26-year-old man from Sydney’s north shore is the latest person to be charged after a nation-wide investigation into a major online paedophile network.
Key points:
- Police seized the man’s phone and allegedly found child abuse material
- He has also been charged with one count of bestiality
- The online network of alleged offenders was discovered after the arrest of a Wyong man last year
Seventeen men have now been charged with child sex offences as part of the Australian Federal Police’s (AFP) Operation Arkstone which launched last year.
Eleven of the 17 men are from New South Wales.
