We are in communication with the Department of Health & Human Services and are following the direction and advice they are providing, the business said in a statement.
CEO Patrick LaManna confirmed the fifth test result on Saturday and said the company would continue to offer them and all our employees whatever support they might need.
Since the closure, the store has undergone a deep clean, and isolated other team members who have been identified as close contacts.
In Fridays announcement, the supermarket urged any customer who shopped at the supermarket on July 5 and has since felt unwell or displayed any symptoms to get tested.
Patrick LaManna clarified that July 5 was the last day that any of the four infected workers had been onsite.
The fifth member of our staff to test positive, who we only learned about today, worked in the back office, in a non-customer facing role and worked last on Tuesday July 7, he said.
He said the supermarket had not only met but exceeded every directive from the Department of Health and Human Services to deal with this issue.
We will now use the time between now and next Wednesday to put in place as promised even extra measures to protect our customers and staff members.
