A big wet season in the Kimberley has buoyed cane toads with authorities fearing the heavy rain has helped speed up the invasive species’ march west across the bio-diverse region.

But away from front line, on a Kununurra property, a smaller battle has been waged by a dozen volunteers taking part in the annual cane toad muster.
