Kogan faces big fines for lifting prices before ‘taxtime discounts’ – The Australian Financial Review
Court says many consumers ended up paying the same as, or more than, what they would have paid immediately before and after the promotion.
Kogan also reduced the prices of these products shortly after the promotion ended, many back to their pre-promotion prices.
For example, Kogan.com offered a Garmin Vivoactive smartwatch at $369 on June 24 but raised the price to $399 on June 26 and reduced it to $319 on July 2.
A Sony Xperia X dual-sim smartphone was priced at $329 on June 24 but the price rose to $369 on June 26 and fell to $325 on July 2.
