Rising star punished for ‘altercation with patron’

The NRL has hit young Knights half Phoenix Crossland with a one-match ban after he was involved in an altercation with a patron at a Newcastle pub.
Crossland, 20, was suspended for one match and fined $900 for his behaviour. Half of the fine was suspended for 12 months.
