Knights braced for Sharks raid aimed at reuniting Pearce and Fitzgibbon
The Newcastle Knights have been made aware of a suggestion the Cronulla Sharks may make a play to try and sign halfback Mitchell Pearce.
Pearce and incoming Cronulla coach Craig Fitzgibbon have an association from their time at the Sydney Roosters when the pair was part of the 2013 premiership.
After missing out on South Sydney halfback Adam Reynolds, the Sharks remain in the market for a no. 7 to replace the outgoing Chad Townsend.
