Kiwi contender La Vernazza will undergo a vets check later today to determine if the Jamie Richards-trained filly will take her place in Saturday’s Group 2 Furious Stakes (1200m) at Randwick.
Richards reported to Racing NSW stewards that La Vernazza had been found to be lame in the near hind leg following trackwork this morning.
