Killer makes 21st bid for freedom
Mervyn James Reilly appeared in the Supreme Court in Brisbane on Monday via video link from Wolston jail at Wacol.Reilly, now aged 74, has applied to the court in a bid to overturn the Parole Board’s decision on September 28 last year to refuse him release after 45 years behind bars.But on Monday the court heard that the Parole Board’s refusal to free him was a preliminary decision and it is due to make a final ruling when it meets on January 11.Reilly pleaded guilty to killing 82-year-old…
