Kennett puts a use-by date on Clarkson’s time at Hawthorn – The Age
Alastair Clarkson played a straight bat in response to Hawthorn president Jeff Kennett flagging a parting of ways with four-time premiership coach at the end of 2022.
Clarkson is contracted for another two seasons, and Kennett said on Sunday that the Hawks werent planning on sacking the coaching great. But the president flagged a used-by date for the coach during his radio interview on 3AW.
We wont be sacking Clarko, Clarko wont be sacking us, when the times comes he and we will come to an agreed position and I suspect it will be at the end of this contract, Kennett said.
Clarkson responded diplomatically after the loss.
