Kelly a symptom of a wider Liberal ‘illness’

It came a little earlier than most expected but, on Tuesday morning, Kelly, MP for Hughes in Sydney’s south since 2010, quit the Liberal Party before the party could quit him. When they say those in politics looking for a friend should buy a dog, they mean that disloyalty is rife in politics. Even so, Kelly’s ratting on a Liberal Party that protected him for so long is a new low. It also leaves the Coalition with just 76 seats in a House of Representatives of 151 – the slimmest possible…
