Newport County goalkeeper Tom King has set a new record for the longest goal ever scored in a competitive football match.
King’s goal would be the only showing from his side in their league Two 1-1 draw with Cheltenham Town, when he launched the ball from his own six-yard box and over the head of his counterpart Joshua Griffiths in the opposite goal.
