We asked Jans (of “not happy, Jan” fame) to share their perspective on the Karen phenomenon, since they’ve been there before. Here’s what they told us.

The response to the recent “Karen from Bunnings” video got us wondering, how do our Karen readers feel about all of this?
It was far from the first time the name Karen has been used in this way Urban Dictionary’s top definition for the word, submitted in May, is “rude, obnoxious and insufferable middle aged white women”, and ABC Life published a guide to not being a Karen in December.
But the stereotype does feel inescapable at this point. So, we sent a message exclusively to all of the Karens…
