The American singer-songwriter, who brought an alternative streak to traditional music, spoke and wrote at length about his battles with addiction and spent time in rehab.
Justin Townes Earle, the beloved Nashville singer and songwriter who released several albums that melded country, Americana and blues, has died aged 38.
Earle’s death was announced on his official social media channels.
“It is with tremendous sadness that we inform you of the passing of our son, husband, father and friend Justin,” a post on his Facebook page read.
